I started drawing at an early age and was not discriminate about the surface
that my pencil found much to the chagrin of my parents as it on occasion
started as a wall mural in the hall outside my room. My first professional
work came from drawing goalies in Grammar school to support my comic book
collection.
It was here that two of my true passions in life met, art and sports. Many
happy and fulfilling hours could be spent on a single piece getting every
pencil stroke just right as true fulfillment comes from finishing a fine
piece that is hopefully enjoyed by other.
I did win several art prizes at the local fairs and top honors for
consecutive years in high school. for the most part the teenage years were
filled with other activities a youth will
get involved in. For a period my artistic talent was came out through the
design of custom, unusual and often funny cakes.
As we age we mature and start to figure out what matters and what brings a
peace to our inner self, going back just a few years I rediscovered my love
of creating the likenesses of celebrities and sports legend leading up to
the last few where I became enamored with my acrylics.
Rarely does a day go by now where I am not working on a portrait a jersey or
some other piece that I thought would be interesting and enjoyable. I hope
you enjoy my work as much as I do creating it.
